Where The Heart Is

The GSUMC Social Action Team received a mission request to help in the rebuilding of homes that were damaged in the 2021 Sumas Flooding.

After lots of discussions and planning, the Social Action Team and other volunteers were able to help by reassembling rooms in Everson that is home to two senior women!

9/11 to 9/13 2024

The Social Action Team and Volunteers began working on an indoor room of the Everson Home.

Over the days the team was able to:

• Lay the new floor panels down

• Connecting a new door

• Begin installing cupboards

The team plans to come back to finish installing cupboards and the floor trim in the room between 9/19 and 9/21.
