Coronavirus Update:

Following updates from the Whatcom County Health Department regarding the coronavirus, Garden St. UMC will not be meeting for worship this Sunday. Our worship service will be live video streamed (see link above). Additionally, out of care for our community, all groups that meet in our building are canceled until further notice. We will keep you updated weekly as the situation evolves. Feel free to contact our Office Administrator Sharon, or Pastor Kathy by phone or email. Take care, and know that God is with us and you are deeply loved.

You are welcome here.

Garden Street United Methodist Church is an open and affirming community working to embody love in our neighborhood and beyond. You are warmly invited to worship with us every Sunday morning at 10am.

>>> Community focused

>>> Christ centered

Every Sunday at 10am

Each week we gather to sing, pray, and center ourselves on God. Our United Methodist service includes liturgy, hymns, and a message that uplifts and challenges our spirit.

A vibrant community grounded in love

Garden Street United Methodist Church is committed to help persons to know the love and presence of God, as revealed through the life and teaching of Jesus Christ, as a living and positive reality.

An inclusive congregation

Garden Street United Methodist Church extends to all the hand of friendship and faith, believing every person is of sacred worth. We commit ourselves to the hospitality Jesus taught, by creating a place of safety and spiritual sanctuary for people in all stages of their faith journey. We are enriched by people of all ages, racial or ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, political affiliations, economic levels, mental or physical conditions, biblical interpretations, and family structures. We gather for worship, study, and fellowship and we disperse to spread God’s love in the community. As we strive to become a church of full inclusion, we will continue to engage with one another and celebrate our similarities and differences. We encourage ourselves and challenge our denomination to truly embrace “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.”
